Is An Interval Timer The Same As A Recovery Timer? (on A Sports Watch)?

I was looking to buy a nike triax watch, the old ones have interval timers whereas the new ones have ‘recovery’ timers, i want an interval timer and was wondering are they the same thing. Cheers

they can be, an interval can be the time you run, or the time you recover.
I often use a count down mode for time intervals so I run until it beeps then jog for recovery.
