Dick’s Sporting Goods is making me an offer I can’t refuse for this $370 Garmin GPS 405cx running watch that tells you how fast your running and all this other cool stuff. Basically if I buy it I get $150 gift card in return. I don’t want to buy a used one, but I don’t know if I should buy it right now for two reasons. First, I’m injured so I won’t be using it for another 2-3 months. Second, I might be quitting my job in the next week so I don’t know if I should blow some of my savings on this right now. I really want this watch. I figure I have enough money to survive until I get a new job and even though I’m injured for another two months, I can use the time to learn how functions. I have about $8k in savings and I have about $750 per month in expenses. Can I afford this? What should I do?
